Golden Dawn by Richard Pousette-Dart — Fine Art

Golden Dawn shows pale yellow and warm grey tones meeting across the surface. Richard Pousette-Dart builds the image from many thin layers and small marks.

From far the field reads as one soft glow. Up close the layers break apart into separate lines and spots. The fine art print keeps the pale ground and the layered marks readable at both distances.

A white frame finishes the edge with a clean line that holds the pale field without pulling the eye away from the centre. Hang it on a bedroom wall where morning light lands on the surface. The yellow edge catches the light first, then the grey layers show one by one as you step closer.
