Golden Door

Golden Door - 1989 shows a painted field built from many small marks that crowd together. The marks build a surface with a shallow depth, a method Richard Pousette-Dart used across his painting practice. The surface reads as one layer of paint with many small touches.

This print arrives as a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The matte paper keeps the small marks soft, so the crowded surface does not turn shiny under a lamp. The frame holds the sheet flat and ready to hang.
