Gray Collage

Gray Collage - 1953 by Anne Ryan uses torn paper and cloth set into a grey field. The eye rests on the darker bits first, then moves to the lighter scraps around them.

Empty spaces sit between the parts. Anne Ryan worked with this kind of collage through the abstract expressionist years.

You receive a fine art print ready to hang on a nail or screw with a metal hanger on the back and no frame to buy separately. It suits a reading corner above a desk near a bookshelf, where the grey layers stay soft in the low light.

As a guide: 40×50 cm suits a desk or small wall, 50×70 cm sits well above a sofa or bed, and 70×100 cm anchors a room as a focal piece. If you'd like advice for your space, send us your dimensions and we'll recommend a size.

For your country, this piece is estimated at 5 to 8 business days from the moment you order, including production, with free tracked delivery. Every piece is made to order by the print partner closest to you; framed pieces take a little longer because each one is framed and checked before dispatch. These are estimates, and there is no express option. Full country-by-country ranges are on our estimated delivery times page, and you can see exactly how your piece is packed.

If your piece arrives damaged, defective, or isn't what you ordered, email us within 7 days of delivery with photos and your order number, and keep all packaging. We will send a free replacement at no cost to you. See our refund policy for the full process.
