Hang Up 1966 — Fine Art

Hang Up 1966 opens on a slender vertical form standing against the air. The work belongs with the experiments in materials and odd shapes that run through Eva Hesse practice. Simple forms take on a strange weight here.

This is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The paper is matte, so the pale tones stay even and there is no shine from a lamp.

It fits a narrow hall wall where the vertical shape can breathe. From the landing you see the form clearly, and the quiet tones stay steady at that distance.
