Henrique VIII

Henrique VIII - 1966 by Menez shows a painted figure ground against a plain colour field. The image relies on broad brush passes and a steady hand pressure. The picture reads as a single flat mark on a bare surface.

The fine art print sits in a finish frame that gives the image a clean border on the wall. The white frame keeps the painted field clear and the edge sits plain against the picture.

A solid wall in a reading corner holds the print. You notice the painted mark first and then the frame line from a short distance.
