Homage to the Square 1966 — Fine Art

Homage to the Square 1966 by Josef Albers shows four nested rectangles, each a flat colour sitting inside the next one. The bands are painted straight and even, with hard edges where one colour meets the next.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The print is made on matte paper, so the painted blocks do not shine and the colours read as flat patches, not glare. A light frame on a dark wall lets each coloured square stand on its own, and a dark frame on a pale wall makes the outer band sit forward.
