Indian Yellow — Fine Art

Indian Yellow shows a single warm field laid across the paper, with the name of the colour in mind as the eye moves across the sheet. Marcia Hafif keeps the surface plain and lets the tone carry the weight.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. The print runs on matte paper, which softens the yellow so it does not glare under a lamp. A light frame on a darker wall lets the field sit without pulling the eye sideways.

It works on the wall above a kitchen counter where morning light comes in. From the doorway the colour reads as one calm block, and closer up the edge of the field holds a faint change of tone.
