Interior Day

A warm field of colour fills the sheet in Interior Day - 1974. Soft edges and a broad painted shape sit against the ground. The brush moves slowly and the paint stays smooth across the surface. Howard Hodgkin builds the picture with a steady hand and a muted tone.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang with a metal hanger fitted to the back. The hanger goes straight onto a nail or screw. You can put it on the wall without a separate frame. The matte paper keeps the colours even and there is no shine under a lamp.

It fits well above a desk in a study. From the chair you notice the soft shape and the steady tone. The space feels calm and the picture stays in view while you work.

As a guide: 40×50 cm suits a desk or small wall, 50×70 cm sits well above a sofa or bed, and 70×100 cm anchors a room as a focal piece. If you'd like advice for your space, send us your dimensions and we'll recommend a size.

For your country, this piece is estimated at 5 to 8 business days from the moment you order, including production, with free tracked delivery. Every piece is made to order by the print partner closest to you; framed pieces take a little longer because each one is framed and checked before dispatch.
