Irregular Vertical and Horizontal Bands of Color Superimposed shows bands of flat colour laid over one another. Some stripes run up and down, others run across. The colours sit in thin layers, and the top bands partly cover the ones below. Sol LeWitt built the picture with a simple plan, letting the lines cross without blending.
