Jarbas

The title Jarbas - 1959 names a work by Emil Schumacher where broad painted strokes build a loose shape on the sheet.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. The marks move with uneven pressure and leave a rough grain where the brush slowed. You can see where the paint thinned and where it gathered in the stroke.

The paper is matte and takes the dark paint without shine. A light frame sits well on a dark wall in a study, and the strokes read from the desk before the small changes in the paint show.
