About this work

Jubilant Blue

Jubilant Blue - 1972 opens on a broad blue field that holds the eye at the center. A few painted bands cross the sheet with more weight on the left side. The empty ground around them stays open.

The fine art print sits in a frame with a back panel and hangs ready when assembled. The matte surface keeps the blue tones even under a lamp.

It works on a bedroom wall seen from the foot of the bed. The blue field settles the space while the bands stay clear from that distance.
