K-B-2 — Fine Art

K-B-2 - 1992 by Robert Goodnough shows a painted field of broad colour patches with thin drawn lines across the surface. The artist worked in a post war American style, laying paint over a prepared ground and adding graphite marks on top.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. You can see the layers where one colour stops and another begins, and the drawn lines cross over the painted areas. The white frame gives the picture a clean edge on the wall, so the painted edges do not fade into the room.

The wood frame sits closer to the warm tones in the work, while the black frame adds weight to the drawn lines. Take a look at it in a kitchen with morning light coming from the side.
