Knot — Fine Art

Knot shows a ribbon that folds through itself in a double loop. The drawing uses black ink on a pale sheet, with a steady line weight that holds the shape together. Each turn looks like it passes through the next one.

The fine art print goes straight onto a nail. MC Escher worked in measured line drawings and optical repeats during the twentieth century. The piece arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. You do not need a separate frame.

The matte paper keeps the grey tones soft under a lamp. It works on a study room wall beside a desk lamp. From the chair you notice the tight crossings of the line.
