Kochel Waterfall I — Fine Art

Kochel Waterfall I opens on water moving over rock, painted in the abstract style of Wassily Kandinsky. Blue and grey bands run down the page while warmer patches sit above.

From across the room the bands read as simple stripes. Up close you see thin pencil lines under the paint. The fine art print uses a matte paper so the greys stay soft and do not shine under a lamp.

A white frame gives the picture a clean edge on the wall and keeps the blue from washing out. You see it best in a kitchen over the cooker hood. The blues sit steady while the room moves around them.
