Landscape — Fine Art

Landscape sets down a stretch of land, trees and sky in slow colour shifts. Paul Cézanne builds the scene with short separate brush strokes that leave gaps between the patches of green, brown and blue. The eye moves from one patch to the next across the surface.

The matte fine art paper holds those cool greens without shine, so the light hits each stroke and gives the picture a quiet surface. A frame finish can follow the room, joining the print to the wall around it.

On a dining room wall, the tree forms sit above a sideboard and the blue sky sits higher than the seat. From the chair at the table you notice the small gaps in the strokes and the cooler green at the edge.
