About this work

Large Fragemented Shapes

Large Fragemented Shapes - 1968 shows broken colour shapes spread across the picture. The artist worked in broad painted fields with separate colour areas and soft edges.

This fine art print keeps those shapes clear on a smooth matte sheet. You see the small shifts between one colour and the next without shine.

Down a hall with a pale wall, the shapes sit low and the eye moves along them. Each block reads on its own before you look at the whole.
