Large Trolley by Dieter Roth (1972) — Poster

A trolley, oversized and imposing, dominates the frame. This is Large Trolley, a work by Dieter Roth that plays with scale and the mundane, turning the ordinary into something monumental. The trolley, a common object, is rendered in stark lines and simple forms, devoid of embellishment. The image is stark, with the trolley's form outlined in bold black against a white background. The simplicity of the composition draws attention to the details, the wheels, the handle, the structure. The absence of color focuses the viewer on the form and the questions it raises about art and everyday objects. This print commands attention in a minimalist space, a study, or a modern office. It invites contemplation and conversation.
