Love in the Afternoon — Fine Art

A figure stands in a quiet room near a window, the light falling soft across the floor and the wall. Love in the Afternoon uses that still shape and the plain space around it to hold the scene. Andrew Wyeth often worked in a realist way, careful with the edges and the surface he built.

The picture comes as a fine art print that is ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame is needed. The matte finish keeps the soft tones from shining under a lamp.

Hang it on the bedroom wall where the morning light comes in low and even. From the bed you notice the plain ground and the steady figure, before the small changes in tone across the surface.
