About this work

M, 1977

M, 1977- by Helen Frankenthaler places a soft band of colour over a lighter ground. The tone shifts across the surface and one edge stays open. You see a stain like wash rather than a sharp line. The work keeps an abstract colour field feel.

It comes as a fine art print with a metal hanger fitted to the back. You put it straight onto a nail or screw and it sits level on the wall. No separate frame is needed.

On a bedroom wall near the bed the broad tone reads first, then the open band near the top settles the eye.

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.
Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
