Magnum Opus — Fine Art

Magnum Opus by Hans Hofmann uses broad areas of paint that push and pull across the sheet. A heavy dark mass meets a lighter field. The marks look built up with a brush. The title points to a final large work in the artists practice.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The sheet arrives ready to hang. A metal hanger is fitted to the back and goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy. You can lift it onto the wall without a frame.

In a narrow hallway the big painted shapes read clearly from the stair. The darker side stays solid while the open side lets the room breathe. From the landing the picture feels steady against the plaster.
