Merzpicture Thirty One 1920 holds torn scraps of paper and card set against a plain ground.

Greys and pale browns settle low, while a thin red strip climbs near the top. Kurt Schwitters worked from found bits and kept the edges rough.

The fine art print sits in a frame with a back panel, so the torn edges read without glare. A steady lamp on a kitchen shelf shows the rough paper edges and the red strip, while the plain wall stays calm behind it.
