Metaesquema — Fine Art

Bright colour bands step down the sheet in Metaesquema - Neo-Concretism. Each band holds one flat hue, set against the next. The colours sit side by side without blending, so the eye moves from one tone to the next. Helio Oiticica worked with plain colour and clear edges in this neo-concretism period.

The fine art print keeps each band flat and separate. A light frame on a dark wall lets the brightest bands stand out, while a dark frame on a pale wall pulls the softer tones forward.

It hangs on a kitchen wall above the counter. From the table you read the bright bands first, then the quiet gaps between them.
