About this work
Eva Hesse sets out faint pencil lines across a bare surface in Metronomic Irregularity II 1966. The lines repeat with small breaks between them. A light field holds the marks without crowding them. Empty space sits next to each stroke.
This fine art print comes in a frame with a back panel. You can choose the ready to hang option and the piece arrives assembled. The matte paper keeps the pencil lines from shining under a lamp.
In a narrow hallway near the front door, the repeated lines lead the eye down the wall. From the kitchen doorway you see the pale field and the small gaps between the strokes.
