Mont Sainte Victoire — Fine Art

Mont Sainte Victoire by Paul Cézanne builds a hillside with stacked bands of colour. The slope rises in layered patches of green, ochre and blue. You can read the broad mountain shape from far away. Closer in, the separate brush marks show the way each stroke sits next to the next.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. A white frame gives the picture a clean edge on the wall. The bright border keeps the pale sky tones separate from the room around it.

It works above a dining room sideboard. From the table you notice the slow rise of the ridge, and near the frame the small shifts between one patch and the next.
