Mountains by Arkhyp Kuindzhi

Mountains shows a broad landform rising against a quiet sky. Arkhyp Kuindzhi painted the scene with careful attention to light on the slopes. The colours move from warm earth tones at the base to cooler tones higher up. The picture stays calm and open.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang. A metal hanger is fitted to the back, so the sheet goes straight onto a nail or screw. You do not need to buy a frame. The matte paper keeps the lighter tones from shining under a lamp.

It fits well on the wall above a low bookshelf in a study. From the doorway you see the big shape of the landform. When you stand near the shelf you notice the small changes in colour on the upper slopes.
