Mustache Hat by Jean Arp — Fine Art

Mustache Hat shows a rounded shape with a few curved lines beside it. The picture reads like a simple figure, built from soft marks and a pale ground. Jean Arp often worked with chance and playful forms, letting shapes sit on the sheet without a strict plan.

The fine art print goes straight onto a nail. The frame comes in white, wood, dark wood or black, and gives the picture a clear edge on the wall. A white frame keeps the pale ground bright. A dark wood frame pulls the rounded shape forward.

It fits a hallway wall above a narrow bench, where the rounded shape is easy to see from the stairs. From the landing you notice the soft curves first, and then the small pencil like lines beside them. The space around the shape stays quiet.
