Narripi Dreaming Diptych - 1990 shows two panels joined by story lines and dot clusters on a dark ground. Black and red lines cross the sheet, with white dots scattered through the field.

The marks follow a country story drawn in the central desert painting practice. Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri worked from memory and country knowledge. The fine art print sits on a matte paper sheet with a light frame on a dark plaster wall.

The frame colour follows the room, so the dark background stays soft and the white dots stay clear. From a kitchen doorway you look across the bench and see the joined panels. The black lines read first, then the white dots, before you turn to the stove.
