About this work
No 5 - 1952 holds a few thin lines and soft washes on a pale sheet. The paint stays light, with grey and white set against a quiet field. Bradley Walker Tomlin worked in an abstract style from the mid twentieth century.
The fine art print comes with a frame in white, wood, dark wood or black. A white frame keeps the pale field open and gives the picture a clear edge on the wall. A dark wood frame sets the grey tones down and adds weight to the thin lines.
It hangs above the desk in a study. From the chair you see the soft washes first, then the thin lines when you lean in. The light from the lamp falls on the pale field and the frame edge stays clear at your side.
