North Greenland Fiord, Gray Day — Fine Art

North Greenland Fiord, Gray Day shows a cold shoreline under heavy cloud. The water runs flat and grey with a pale strip of land on one side. Rockwell Kent made this kind of landscape often, using strong simple shapes and a quiet mood.

A fine art print keeps the soft greys without a shine under a lamp. The paper stays matte so the water looks still. The frame finish can follow the room, a dark frame on a pale wall or a wood frame beside wooden furniture.

It works on a bedroom wall above the bed. From the doorway you see the flat water first, then the thin land line. The light stays low, and the grey tones hold the room together.
