Now a Turning Orb by Richard Pousette-Dart

Now a Turning Orb shows a round dark form set inside a soft field of layered paint. The eye finds the circle first, then the broken strokes that drift around it. The space around the centre stays open.

Richard Pousette-Dart built the picture with thin layers and quiet shifts in tone. The fine art print is ready to hang with a metal hanger fitted to the back. That hanger goes straight onto a nail or screw. You do not need a separate frame.

The surface stays matte, so the dark centre does not shine under a lamp. You notice the printed circle above a dining room table on a side wall. From the table the round form sits clear, while the small marks stay quiet. The room feels steady with the picture on that wall.

As a guide: 40×50 cm suits a desk or small wall, 50×70 cm sits well above a sofa or bed, and 70×100 cm anchors a room as a focal piece. If you'd like advice for your space, send us your dimensions and we'll recommend a size.

For your country, this piece is estimated at 5 to 8 business days from the moment you order, including production, with free tracked delivery. Every piece is made to order by the print partner closest to you; framed pieces take a little longer because each one is framed and checked before dispatch. These are estimates, and there is no express option. Full country-by-country ranges are on our estimated delivery times page, and you can see exactly how your piece is packed.

If your piece arrives damaged, defective, or isn't what you ordered, email us within 7 days of delivery with photos and your order number, and keep all packaging. We will send a free replacement at no cost to you. See our refund policy for the full process.
