About this work

Numbered and Signed

Numbered and Signed - 1980 shows a typed line of text with a number and a signature on a plain sheet. The letters sit in the centre and the paper holds the full sheet. Billy Apple worked with printed text and simple marks on a plain ground in his text based practice.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The frame comes in four finishes and is made to give the picture a clear edge on the wall. The white finish sits close to the letters and leaves the text open.

You can hang it on the wall above a desk in a study. From the chair you see the number and the name, and the small printed letters stay sharp.
