Nutcracker 1973 by Jim Dine — Fine Art

Nutcracker 1973 shows a thickly drawn figure set against a plain ground. A long neck rises from a wrapped body, and the outline sits heavy in the middle of the sheet. The lines hold together without much background detail.

The white frame gives this fine art print a clear edge on the wall, and the clean border lets the drawn outline keep its own space. Dark wood or black would push the figure back, so the lighter finish works better here.

It sits on a study wall over a desk. From the chair you see the long neck first, and when you lean in you notice the heavier marks around the figure.
