One Life — Fine Art

One Life - 5.11.07 - 2007 opens on a painted field where broad colour bands meet quick hand strokes. The layers build up, and the eye settles on the darker patch near the middle. A date sits in the title, so the work feels like a record kept on canvas.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. The frame finish can follow the room, so a light frame sits on a dark wall or a wood frame goes beside wooden furniture.

In a hallway with a ceiling light on the side, the broad painted areas read clearly from the first step. The dated study sits above the coat rail, and the eye catches the hard colour edge before you walk past. The work stays quiet there, waiting for the next pass.
