Onement III — Fine Art

A second narrow stripe cuts across the field in Onement III, setting two colour areas side by side. The stripe is thin and sharp. The field around it holds a single tone.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The paint stops at the edge of the paper. From the far end of a hallway the stripe reads as a single dark line. Step nearer and the edge of the paper shows a clean line. A light frame on a pale wall keeps the tone even.

The same picture works on a darker wall with a dark frame. It suits a dining room wall near a lamp. The light hits the stripe first. Later the field fills in.
