Pagliai 1929 by Carlo Carra — Fine Art

Pagliai 1929 takes its name from a figure in motion, a subject Carlo Carrà painted during his Metaphysical period. The work places a standing form against a plain field, where flat colour planes sit beside darker patches. A quiet geometry holds the picture together.

This is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The matte surface keeps the soft tones from shining under a lamp, and the frame gives the image a clean edge on the wall.

Above a dining table near the kitchen, the flat planes read as simple shapes from the doorway. From the chair at the table, the darker patches draw the eye toward the centre of the picture.
