About this work

Paisagem

Paisagem - 2004 shows a landscape built from quick strokes of paint. The marks run in short lines across the surface. Some areas are thick and some are thin.

The picture keeps the feeling of a place seen in a short moment. Aldemir Martins worked with this kind of direct painting. The fine art print is set in a frame with a back panel. It arrives assembled when the ready to hang option is used.

The frame holds the picture flat and the back panel covers the rear. In a kitchen dining room, the broad strokes read from the table. Near the doorway the small marks come into view. The light there is plain and even.
