Palazzo Corner della Ca Grande by John Singer Sargent — Fine Art

Palazzo Corner della Ca Grande shows a tall building facade in warm stone tones against a softer sky. The painted lines hold the architecture steady, with shadows falling across the lower walls.

John Singer Sargent worked in a loose watercolour style that leaves small gaps in the paint. The frame finish sets a clear edge for the picture on the wall.

A white frame keeps the pale stone tones open, while a dark wood frame pulls the painted shadows forward. You can hang this fine art print above a reading chair, and the eye lands on the heavy stone walls first before the softer ground.
