About this work
Pattern shows a busy surface of poured lines laid over a pale ground. The paint runs in thin streams, with small spots mixed into the lines. Jackson Pollock used this method to let the paint move without a fixed plan. The title points to the repeating marks that cover the whole picture.
The fine art print goes straight onto a nail. The frame is available in white, wood, dark wood and black, and the white finish keeps the edge clean against the pale ground. The clear frame border separates the picture from the wall.
In a reading corner, the lines pull the eye along the page while the small spots stay quiet in the distance. From the doorway the marks read as a steady field, and closer up the thin runs and dots show their own speed.
