Phenomena Yellow Strike

Philosophy Yellow Strike - 1963 is listed in the title, yet the known method of Paul Jenkins uses poured and tilted paint to form fluid colour bands and soft edge marks. A fine art print of the picture keeps that movement on a matte sheet so the washes look natural under normal indoor light.

The frame finish is available in white, wood, dark wood or black. A clean frame edge holds the colour bands in place and stops the yellow from spilling into the wall.

In a reading corner near a warm lamp the yellow band draws the eye first, then the pale areas show the pour lines. You step back and the painted field feels calm.
