Gene Davis lines up ochre, teal, maroon, and slate in precise bands. The edges are knife-sharp, yet the hues seem to shimmer sideways, creating a flicker against the white ground. No single stripe repeats width or interval, so the eye keeps moving up and down.
Hang it above a low credenza where the stripes can draw the ceiling higher without shouting.
