Polar Red — Fine Art

The title Polar Red points to a red shape set against open paper. Sam Francis often lets paint spread into loose colour pools. Here the red marks sit on a pale field and the rest stays open. Big colour blocks move across the sheet.

The fine art print goes straight onto a nail. The frame comes in white, wood, dark wood or black. A white frame keeps the red mark quiet against the wall. A black frame gives the edge a hard line that holds the red shape in place.

Hang it on a plain wall ten feet away. The red shape pulls the eye first and the open paper falls back. From the doorway you see the red mark before the frame edge. Up close you notice the paint edge and the bare paper.
