A shipping channel meets the harbour wall in Port de Cherbourg, a candid view of boats and quay work. Broad painted areas and a few dark lines hold the water, sky and dockside shapes together. From the far side of the room the sea and buildings stay loose and readable.

This is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The paper has a matte surface, so the pale blues and greens in the harbour stay soft and there is no shine under a lamp.
