Quick Red Fox

Quick Red Fox - 1963 shows a red shape set against a plain painted ground. The red sits against cooler tones around it, so the outline reads clearly. Nicholas Krushenick made paintings with bold colour planes and simple forms.

This fine art print uses a matte finish so the red stays flat and the cooler tones do not shine under a lamp. The frame finish can follow the room, a light frame on a dark wall or a wood frame beside wooden furniture.

It hangs on the stairwell landing above the second step. From the top landing you see the red shape first, then the cooler tones around it. The matte surface keeps the colour steady under the stair light.
