About this work
Randazzo and Mount Etna Sicily January 1933 1933 places a town cluster below a tall volcanic cone on a pale sheet.
The drawing uses measured black lines to separate roofs from the mountain slope. MC Escher kept the marks thin so the ridge reads clearly against the flat ground.
This fine art print is set in a frame with a back panel, and it arrives assembled when the ready to hang option is used. The matte surface keeps the black lines steady under a lamp on a dining room wall near the table, where the ridge line stays clear from the chair.
