Red Apple — Fine Art

Red Apple - 1996 shows a single red fruit set on a plain sheet. The word apple is part of the subject, and the shape reads as a simple object rather than a detailed study. The picture sits within the conceptual art practice of Billy Apple, where text and image meet on the page.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The paper holds a flat red tone without shine. A light frame on a dark wall lets the red stand out, while a dark frame on a pale wall keeps the colour from fading into the background.

It works on a bedroom wall above a low dresser. From the foot of the bed you see the red shape first, and from the bedside you notice the edges of the lettering around it.
