Redfern composition — Fine Art

Redfern composition by Paul Jenkins fills the sheet with broad bands of paint. Warm pinks and deep reds run against cool grey areas. The edges blur where one band meets the next. The marks sit flat on the paper with no hard outline.

One side of the sheet holds a lighter wash, the other side holds a darker band. A fine art print keeps those tones soft under a lamp. The frame can follow the room, a light finish on a dark wall or a dark finish on a pale wall.

It sits on a hallway wall beside a coat hook. From the landing you see the pink band first, then the grey band next to it. The eye moves down the length of the wall.
