About this work
Rocks at Antheor 1906 shows a coastline of stone and sea painted by Theo van Rysselberghe. The picture sits in the pointillist work he made along the Belgian and French shore. Small dots of paint build the rocks and the water. Blue, green and sandy tones cover the surface.
This fine art print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy. The matte paper keeps the soft sea tones even under a lamp, and the dots hold their shape at a normal viewing distance.
In a bedroom, the print sits above the bed on the far wall. From the doorway you read the broad rock shapes first, then the small dots of paint as you pass the bed.
