Sacrifice Decision, 1981

Sacrifice Decision, 1981- sits on the page with open areas of paint laid in thin layers. The marks read as broad colour bands that settle into the surface rather than sitting on top. From across the room the image reads as a quiet field. Step nearer and the edges show how the pigment soaked in.

This object is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The matte surface keeps the lighter passages from shining under a lamp.

It fits a dining room wall where a chair sits under an open window. From that seat you see the big colour areas first, then the thin lines near the lower edge.

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
