Seaside Splendor — Fine Art

Seaside Splendor draws on the smooth bands and hard outlines Eyvind Earle used in his California illustrations. The picture turns the coast into simple forms with clear edges. It keeps the palette close to the known range of blues and greys he often chose for sea scenes.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. You do not need a separate frame. The matte surface lets the flat colour bands sit without shine under a lamp.

Hang it above a long console where the top edge sits near your eye level. From the doorway the broad colour bands read first. From across the hall you notice the hard outlines and the steady rhythm of the lines.
