Sf48-004 — Fine Art

Sf48-004 keeps the open layout Sam Francis often worked with, where paint spreads in loose washes across white paper. Soft colour sits inside broad areas, with open space between them. The marks stay broad and unforced, so the surface reads as a single flat field.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. A white frame gives the image a clean edge against the painted field. The white border stays close to the paper tone, so the painted areas do not feel boxed in. You see the frame edge as a line that stops the wash at the sheet edge.

It sits on a bedroom wall above a low bed. From the foot of the bed the broad colour areas read first. Step closer and the thin wash layers show up inside each painted patch.
